Eoin Toal and Dion Charles have both been named in the Northern Ireland squad for their upcoming friendlies.

Toal will be hoping to add to his three caps. The defender made his international debut earlier this season as a result of his consistent performances in the Bolton backline.

Meanwhile, Charles hasn’t featured since the 2-1 win against Wycombe a month ago after picking up a knee injury.

Earlier this week, Ian Evatt revealed that the forward was waiting for the all-clear from a specialist following a setback. Evatt hoped to have Charles back available for the trip to Stevenage on Good Friday.

Michael O’Neill’s side head to Romania on Friday, March 22 before taking on Scotland on Tuesday, March 26. The friendlies are part of their preparation for the Nations League, which kicks off later this year.

Former Bolton loanee Conor Bradley has also been named in the squad. The 20-year-old has been regularly involved for Liverpool since his return from injury as Jurgen Klopp’s side battle for the Premier League title.

Stevenage forward Jamie Reid has been called up to the senior squad for the first time. Reid has been in prolific form in League One this season, scoring 17 goals in 35 matches.

Elsewhere, Gethin Jones has been named in the extended 25-man squad for Australia’s World Cup upcoming qualifiers against Lebanon.

Jones made his debut for the national team earlier this year and made several appearances at the Asian Cup in Qatar.

Graham Arnold’s side play at the CommBank Stadium in Sydney on Thursday, March 21 before heading to the GIO Stadium in Canberra on Tuesday, March 26.

Josh Sheehan has also been included in the Wales squad for their European Championship play-off tie against Finland on March 21. A win would see Rob Page’s side advance to the final against either Estonia or Poland on March 26.
