It’s déjà vu for Wanderers as Ian Evatt’s side prepare to head to Barnsley in the play-offs for the second year in a row.

The Whites came up just short over two legs last term but will play the crucial second leg at home this time around.

Evatt’s side ended the league campaign with a 3-3 draw at Peterborough after goals from Kyle Dempsey, Dion Charles and Cameron Jerome.

Meanwhile, Barnsley secured a top-six finish following a 1-1 draw against Northampton on the final day under Martin Devaney, who took interim charge after Neill Collins’ sacking.

When and where is the game being played?

The fixture takes place at Oakwell on Friday, May 3 (7.30pm). Bolton came from 2-0 down to claim a point in South Yorkshire a couple of months ago thanks to second-half strikes from Victor Adeboyejo and Randell Williams.

The points were also shared when the sides met in the North West a month prior, with Zac Ashworth cancelling out Devante Cole’s opener.
