Wanderers defender Chris Forino made his debut for St Lucia during their 2-1 win against Curacao.
The towering defender had been called up to the senior squad before but has now won his first cap.
Arkell Jude-Boyd, who plays his club football at Cheltenham, and Caniggia Elva got on the scoresheet for St Lucia either side of half time, while Joshua Brenet pulled one back for the visitors.
The result saw Stern John’s side kick off their Concacaf Nations League campaign with maximum points against a side who had won three games on the spin.
St Lucia are back in action on Monday when they take on Grenada. John’s men also have a couple of games against St Martin coming up in October.
Forino has made three appearances for Wanderers so far following his free transfer from Wycombe earlier this summer.
The 24-year-old made his first league start for the Whites against Exeter last weekend, with Eoin Toal sidelined by a muscle tear.
Forino has been playing catch-up on his new Bolton team-mates after missing most of pre-season through injury.
Meanwhile, Josh Sheehan was an unused substitute as Craig Bellamy’s Wales tenure began with a goalless draw against Turkey at the Cardiff City Stadium.
Bellamy was named as Rob Page’s successor over the summer following spells as Vincent Kompany’s assistant at Anderlecht and Burnley.
“(The players) were outstanding,” said the 45-year-old after the final whistle.
“We’ve had a lot of work this week, a lot of meetings, and I’m always conscious of the load of information given to the players in a short space of time.
“They were great all week so that gives you confidence going into the game. As much as you plan, you just don’t know how it’s going to go.
“Believe me, this is the worst we’re going to be. The more we learn, the finer details, there’s way more to come.”
