Astley & Tyldesley Cycle Speedway Club took on Bury in a local derby in the final North & Scotland League matches of the season at Gin Pit on Sunday.
On a wet, miserable afternoon, A&T had only two first-choice riders available for the Division One match, and Bury took the inevitable win, 110-69, to secure second place in the final league table, behind Sheffield, with A&T third, ahead of Hull and Fife.
Terry Norman was best rider for A&T, winning three races, while Reece Pollitt and Mike Baldock both raced unbeaten for Bury.

Bury defaulted the Division Two match, having only three riders available, so A&T were awarded the win and finished in second place in the Northern Section table, behind Sheffield.
A&T romped to another big win in the Division Three match, 106-13, to complete the season with a 100-per-cent record and the Northern League Division Three title.
Alex Lawless and Oscar Belt both rode unbeaten in the under-10 and U13 categories, respectively.
