Youngsters from 45 primary schools across Bolton took part in the annual Cross Country League at Moss Bank Park.
Run by School Games organisers, Brian Richardson (St Joseph’s RC High School) and Bernadette O’Hare (Thornleigh Salesian College), the event was marshalled by Horwich Harriers coaches Tony and Brenda Hesketh and volunteers Sue Archibald, Susanne Hartop, Ian Southern and Jonathon Moorhouse.
Each week in September and October, more than 400 boys and girls raced to earn points for their schools and be in with a chance of the town team selection for the Greater Manchester Schools’ Cross Country Championships in February 2025.
