Wanderers Women have added Republic of Ireland international Megan Campbell to their coaching staff ahead of the new season.
The defender has had spells at Manchester City, Liverpool, Everton and London City Lionesses during an impressive playing career to date.
Campbell has also won more than 50 caps on the international stage and will now support Myles Smith as an assistant coach as Bolton make the step up to tier five.
“I am delighted to be given this opportunity at Bolton Wanderers, this is a special club with a rich history in football," she said.
“The support within and around the Women’s game is incredible, and the club have shown their backing in having a very ambitious team that wants to progress through the pyramid.
“The journey that this Women’s team is on, with the full backing from Sharon Brittan and the board - as well as the relationship I have built with Myles over many years through our time spent in the WSL - is the reason that I was so attracted to the role.

“I hope that my knowledge and experience within the game can help develop our squad not only as players, but more importantly as people.
“I am ambitious within my own coaching journey to develop as much as I can. Working alongside Myles and the rest of the staff here, I know that I will continue to grow as a coach.
“I am privileged that my first coaching appointment is with Bolton Wanderers, and I’m really looking forward to the season ahead and beyond.”
In addition to her new coaching commitments, Campbell will continue her playing career elsewhere.
“I am thrilled to welcome Megan to our coaching team at Wanderers Women," Smith added.
“Her pedigree and experience is there for all to see, and I have no doubts that she will excel and improve our coaching team in helping to achieve our goals.
“We conducted a thorough process when recruiting for this role, and when Megan expressed her interest for the position - given our previous relationship that stretches back years - it felt like the perfect fit.”
