Tyler Roberts scored the decisive goal just after the hour mark. The Hatters remain three points behind Wanderers but still have a game in hand.

Luton Town moved up to seventh with a 2-0 win at Rotherham United. Kasey Palmer scored twice in the first half at the New York Stadium.
The Hatters still have a mathematical chance of catching Bolton, although they would need to make up six points from the final two games, plus a nine-goal swing.
Elsewhere in the division, Lincoln City secured the league title with a 2-0 victory at Doncaster Rovers. Ben House bagged a brace at the Eco-Power Stadium after Rob Street had missed a penalty.
The Imps are now up to 97 points and could reach the 100 mark against Wycombe Wanderers at the LNER Stadium this weekend.
