Former Wanderer Nat Ogbeta has completed a surprise move to Portuguese side Maritimo.
Ogbeta had been a free agent following his departure from Plymouth Argyle at the end of last season.
He had a loan spell with the Whites during the 2023/24 campaign and started the play-off final against Oxford United.
The left-back spent last term on loan at Barnsley, playing 23 matches in League One including 14 starts.
Ogbeta has now penned a two-year deal at Maritimo, who are preparing for life back in the top flight following promotion last season.
“Super excited to join Marítimo,” he wrote on social media. “It has been a challenging process to get everything over the line yet I am so grateful to God for this opportunity and very thankful to the staff, my wife, my family and my representatives for all their help in getting this move done.
“It’s my first time playing abroad and I can’t wait to learn, grow and develop further while I am here. I also can’t wait to meet the fans and hopefully be a part of something special.”
Elsewhere, former Bolton defender Ryan Delaney has signed for League Two side Oldham Athletic.
Delaney departed Swindon Town at the end of last season. He spent the second half of the campaign on loan at Newport County.
"I'm delighted to be here," he told the club site. "As soon as I spoke to the manager and heard about the plans for the club, it was a really easy decision for me.
"Oldham is a massive football club with a passionate fanbase and it's a place where there's real ambition to keep moving forward. That's something I wanted to be part of."
Manager Micky Mellon added: "Ryan is a player with plenty of experience and know-how and we're really pleased to bring him to the football club.
"He's played a lot of games in the EFL and understands what's required week in, week out. He's a strong, honest defender who enjoys the physical side of the game and brings leadership qualities to the group."
