BLACKPOOL boss Paul Ince has dropped a hint that young winger James Caton could be heading to the Shakers on loan.
Ince, reflecting on the lack of depth within his own squad, name-checked the 20-year-old former Bolton Wanderers trainee after his side’s most recent defeat against Middlesbrough.
“You can see where we are by looking at our bench,” he said. “On Saturday, we had two 18-year-olds (Henry Cameron, Mark Waddington), a player who has been on loan at Carlisle (Nathan Eccleston) and one who is due to go to Bury (James Caton). That’s where we are. We lack strength in depth.”
Caton spent a short time on loan with Accrington in October last year and has made one substitute appearance for Blackpool.
