A BOLTON wrestler is celebrating after being picked to represent Great Britain in the European cadet championships in Subotica, Serbia.
Sharples Club youngster Lewis McGrath will complete in the 63 kilo category between August 2 and 9.
Lewis is currently attending a training camp in the Ukraine until July 28, in preparation for the championships.
Sharples wrestling club are delighted that one of their eight National squad members has been selected to compete in such a high ranking competition.
Lewis said: " Wrestling in the European cadets will add to my experience in competing in international competition and to be selected to wrestle some of the best wrestlers in Europe in such a prestigious tournament can only be good for my on going development."
Sharples has a rich reputation of producing top talent as England's Commonwealth Games star George Ramm has come through their ranks.
