DELIGHT: BGA President Glyn Evans presents a trophy to Dunscar officials
THE Dunscar Junior team won the BGA Junior League this season and the Roy Shipperbottom Trophy was presented last Sunday to club captain, David Shepherd, by Glynn Evans the BGA President.
Dunscar won their last two matches against Chorley and Old Links to win by 2½ points over Westhoughton which went down to the last match.
The Dunscar professional, Andy Green, is the club’s junior organiser and was clearly delighted.
The presentation included a full meal with officials, team members and club members, amounting to some eighty plus in attendance.
Club Captain, David Shepherd, said: “It was a superb win for us and the support which was received from the members was exceptional.”
