A BOLTON trampolinist is heading the World Age Group (WAG) Competition in Odense, Denmark later this month.
It is the 24th competition and showcases the world’s best athletes in trampoline, synchronised trampoline, tumbling and double mini-trampoline and will take place between December 3-6.
Alex Bradshaw will be competing in the 15-16 age group trampoline competition and is one of only two boys in his age group to be selected to compete for GB.
The Thornleigh Salesian College pupil is hoping to impress at the competition after his disappointment in the Loule Cup in Portugal recently.
The 16-year-old said: "I was really disappointed when I crashed in my second routine in Portugal. But training has gone well in the last couple of weeks, so I feel confident about competing in Denmark. I'm hoping that I'll be able to improve on my seventh position that I achieved at last years Worlds comp in Florida."
Proud mum Catherine said: "We are extremely proud of how Alex has come back with a positive attitude after his disappointment in Portugal.
"He has overcome injury in the last few months, but through hard work and determination, he feels ready to compete."
