MARCUS Taylor was in great form at the festive Santa Dash Trail Race finishing first M45 and second overall in a time of 30mins 18secs.
The four-mile race, with contestants cutting a dash in Christmas fancy dress, started from Curley’s Fisheries on Chorley Old Road and attracted 97 entrants.
Adrian Merritt was the next Burndener to finish, posting a time of 34:13 to finish sixth overall and 3rd in the senior male category, followed by Lee White, who was second M40 and 8th overall in 34:50.
Laurence Keighley was ninth overall and third M45 in 35:20.
Kirsty White was first female Burnden finisher in a time of 36:53 to take second place in the F45 category. Karin McGuiness put in a great time of 40:18 to come first F50.
Claire Merritt was second F35 in 46:25 and Lesley Kaneen took second place F50 in 57:03.

Lesley Fisher and Mel Walker took first place in their categories at the Rudolf Red Nose 5-Mile Race in Blackpool. Fisher was first F55 in 36:40 and Walker took the V70 prize in 39:05. Dave Pearson was the third club member to tackle the course and came home in 45:42.
