SEVERAL Lostockers headed to Mytholmroyd last Saturday for the annual Hebden fell race and the first club member home over the 22-mile event was Albert Sunter in 4hrs 5mins.
He was followed over the line by Tony Marlow in 4:13:00 and third-placed female Josie Greenhalgh in 4:20:00.
Working as a team, Jason Tonge, Mike Ernill, Mark Shuttleworth, Brian Halton and Chris Taylor all finished in 5:22:00, with Abigail Sunter finishing in 5:55:00 and a flu-hampered Mark Checkley finishing in 6:11:00.
In the 15-mile race, Matt Withers posted a time of 3:49:00 with Michele Sunter finishing in 4:19 00.
At the third race of the South East Lancashire Cross Country League, Heather Soden continued her strong form to finish second in her age group in 33:57, with equally strong showings from Melonie Crompton (35:41), Christine Smith (42:33), Gill Caldwell (42:44) and Kate Rotheram (44:29).
In the men's race, James Jackson turned in a time of 40:40 to finish 27th overall, with Andy Laycock finishing in 52:56.
