IT was all smiles from three of Burnden’s members who took part in the popular Mad Dog 10k at Southport on Sunday.
Joanne Darby completed the course in 59mins 39secs, with Jackie Cairns posting 57:31 and Louise Wall the fastest of the three in 54:38.
Tony Wall won his age category at Southport, finishing first M60 in 44:03, and Louise Fox was the club’s quickest in the women’s race with a time of 51:33.
Elsewhere, Andy Duffy was seventh M55 in the Winter Warmer 10k at Blackpool’s Stanley Park with a time of 46:31.
Meanwhile, Burnden members Paul Duke, Lee White, Andy Staveley and Shirley Staveley travelled to Liverpool’s Croxteth Park for the fifth event in the six-race North West Sunday Cross Country League series.
