FLIXTON Cricket Club A remain top of the Bolton and District Table Tennis League Premier Division with a predictably comfortable 27-5 victory over bottom team Hilton B.

Ramsbottom Town A, who are second with a game in hand, won 27-7 against their own B team, whose Ryan Choong had to pull out at the last minute due to injury.

Third-placed Little Lever Cricket Club A lost 19-13 to fourth-placed Flixton Cricket Club B, for whom Jacob Reilly Cooper won a maximum nine points.

Mid-table Hilton A had a 19-14 victory over two-man Nomads despite a resisting nine from Charles Musa.

At the bottom of the table, Warton and Ladybridge A fought out a 16-16 draw, with Warton’s Barry Elliott winning nine points.

Division One front-runners Burning Desire won yet again, this time 26-6 against eighth-placed Hilton C with nines from Brett Haslam and Ben Armstrong.

Second-placed Wigan TTC also had a good 26-8 win against fifth-placed Coburg, with nine points from Daniel Watkinson and Tony Whitney.

Third-placed Ramsbottom Town D scraped a 16-15 victory over a Polonia Club A one place below them, despite a resisting nine from Lukasz Serdiuk.

Farnworth Social Circle A conceded their match against mid-table Meadow Ben A for personal reasons.

Another team in mid-table, Wingates, had a good 24-17 victory over a Little Lever Cricket Club B side one place above them in the table, assisted by nine points from Steve Hathaway.

The clash of the bottom two teams saw the higher-placed side, Hilton D, edge out Heaton Cricket Club A 18-15 helped by nine points from Stuart Wallis.

Division Two leaders Hilton E beat seventh-placed Ladybridge B 24-17 with nine points from Adele Spibey and Matthew Kennedy.

Second-placed Saint Paul’s Peel and third-placed Polonia Club B drew 19-19, with Lee Devenport winning his usual nine for Saint Paul’s.

Fourth-placed Bolton TTC lost out to eighth-placed Hilton Top Spinners who won 19-16 despite a resisting nine from Peter McCormick.

Three mid-table teams won, with Heaton Cricket Club B beating bottom team Hilton F 24-10 with nines from David Jones and Martin Hulton, Meadow Ben B triumphing 24-12 against second-bottom Walkden Methodists, assisted by nine from Mike Heaton, and Brasszone outplaying Farnworth Social Circle B 24-5 with nines from Phil Petts and Roger Bertrand.

Runaway leaders in Division Three, Farnworth Social Circle C, convincingly beat 11th-placed Ladybridge C 25-7 with nines from Ben Wyatt and Christopher Lord. Meadow Hill A had an open date but remain in second place, third-placed Meadow Ben C were surprisingly beaten 19-18 by ninth-placed Albany, while fourth-placed Polonia Club C overcame fifth-placed Meadow Ben D.

Hilton I's juniors had a good 26-8 victory over their own H team, with nines from Harry Farnworth and Jamie Sutcliffe.

Hilton G, in fifth place, won 18-15 against bottom-of-the-table Meadow Hill B who produced one of their better performances of the season.

Dimitar Petrov won nine for Hilton.
