CHUNG-YONG Lee is on his way back to Wanderers, according to reports in Korea.
Journalists in Asia claim the midfielder’s representatives, Inspo Korea Sports, have confirmed the 29-year-old will see out of the season on loan from Crystal Palace at the Macron Stadium.
Chung-Yong is also quoted in the stories, saying he is looking forward to rejuvenating his career after a difficult time at Selhurst Park.
"I thought loaning to Bolton was a good decision now, and I am very happy that the work is well done and I look forward to rest of the season,” he said.
South London paper The Croydon Advertiser claimed the deal had been called off at the Palace end - potentially as a result of Bakary Sako's ankle injury against West Ham. That view has been backed up by sources close to the player, who say the Eagles want two more signings on board before they will allow him to leave.
But sources at Wanderers remain confident Chung-Yong is on track to become a Wanderers player for a second time, with a view to winning a place in South Korea's squad for this summer's World Cup finals.
