DOUGIE Freedman and Chris Eagles have been recognised by the Football League with nominations for manager and player of the month, respectively.
After taking 13 points in April, Freedman nearly pulled off an impressive late raid on the play-offs. He will fight it out with Charlton Athletic’s Chris Powell and Brighton’s Gus Poyet for the award.
Eagles was in top form at the end of the campaign, scoring four goals in seven games to take the Whites within a whisker of the play-offs.
Charlton’s Chris Solly and Huddersfield Town’s James Vaughan have also been selected by the League’s judges.
