The police have thanked a generous member of the public who brought them biscuits while they helped to tackle a fire.
On Wednesday afternoon, April 24, a car burst into flames on Manchester Road, Westhoughton, causing firefighters and police officers to rush to the scene.
Firefighters from Atherton fire station were called to the scene, but said that there were no injuries.
While police were supporting firefighters, a member of the public made a heart-warming gesture by bringing officers biscuits.

A spokesperson for the Bolton West Neighbourhood Team said: "Local officers would like to pass on their thanks to the generous member of the the public who treated them to some biscuits while they were dealing with the vehicle fire on Manchester Road in Westhoughton.
"The incident was dealt with safely and promptly with help from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service.
"Today (Thursday), officers visited Atherton Fire Station to pass on the thanks and to share the biscuits."
