FOODIES will soon have a new haunt as an ice cream and dessert bar looks to set up shop.
Sebastian Albu, is turning 170 Bury New Road, a former Whitefield chip shop, into an ice cream bar serving a full complement of crepes, waffles, muffins, cakes and milkshakes.
It is understood that work has already begun to transform the chippy into the new dessert bar.
The application to change the use of the property was submitted to Bury Council at the beginning of March.
