STREETS around Ramsbottom and Greenmount flooded this afternoon during a short downpour.
Damien Jones, aged 31, was visiting his brother in Sandringham Drive when he snapped the above picture of the aftermath of the downpour.
Mr Jones, who lives nearby in Balmoral Close, Greenmout, said: "It was throwing it down for about an hour and it was pouring out of the drainpipes.
"My brother's garden was flooded."
People shared their shock on social media and many said the drains around Ramsbottom were unable to cope.
Mr Jones said: "I think it's the drains.
"Someone said it has been going on for 40 years."
