Team news

David Flitcroft has made one change to the Bury side that drew 0-0 with local rivals Rochdale at the JD Stadium last Friday.

Andrew Tutte returns after he was rested against Rochdale as part of a gentleman's agreement with his former club when signing for Bury on a free transfer in January.

He replaces Jean-Louis Akpa Akrpo, who drops down to the bench.

As part of that switch, Chris Sedgwick will move from centre midfield to right wing-back and Danny Mayor will return to the attacking midfield role, allowing Daniel Nardiello to partner Clive Platt up front.

James Burke misses out on the squad after earning a place on the bench last Friday.

7:06pm

Full line-ups

BURY: Jensen; Veseli, Mills, McNulty; Sedgwick, Tutte, Miller, Carroll; Mayor; Platt, Nardiello.

Subs: Hinds, Forrester, Grimes, Young, Akpa Akpro, Soares, Charles-Cook.

FLEETWOOD TOWN: Maxwell; Goodall; McLaughlin, Roberts, Pond, Taylor; Sarcevic, Schumacher, Morris; Parkin, Matt.

Subs: Davies, Murdoch, Evans, Blair, Hughes, Jordan, Mandron.

Bit slow on the uptake but once we got going it was good. Certainly the character of the side came through here and Nards was a handful for them. Playing Dale and the Cod Army back to back is not been easy for a team that has been crafted together in less than 3 months.

I am still very happy with the effort and also confident that we will only grow in stature and bag more and more points. Time to abuse the Credit Cards with two away games!! UTS

What does Andrew Tutte bring to the team?,why are we the third best lancashire team in this league?,a point gained but we should have taken all 3.Too many draws are killing our momentum. Now the dog fight and scrap for survival is really on.Well done to Nards but is any Bury player ever going to score a hat-trick.Only 5 home games left and we won't beat the Navy duo so away form will have to continue in order for us to have any realistic hope of avoiding the drop.Once again we cannot beat a top team yet the other strugglers apart from Exeter City have managed wins against the so called better teams. We missed Jonah's cutting edge, not enough players chipping in with goals.Nards needs a proper strike partner,Nathan Pond needs to find a sewer,Rochdale fail at Torks so not all bad news.

Could be worse Eileen, KB or Big Ronnie would have had us replacing Torquay and breaking out the maps to see where the hell Alfreton is....

Rochdale losing at Torquay was a bad result Eileen....i'd much rather Fail had got atleast a draw.

I too agree with your Tutte observation, he brings absolutely nothing to the team and is a complete waste of space......and tbh, neither does Carroll for that matter.

I remember when Flitcroft signed Platt and he said if he heads the ball i'll bring him off....in reference to us becoming a long ball team. Well, since he's been starting games that's all we seem to have done......get the ball back on the deck and bring Platt on with 20 minutes to go.

ps. Easylife, after last nights results don't tell me we're not in a relegation fight now.....we're certainly not "well clear of relegation" as you put it yesterday.

I do not see our team through such negative and depressive glasses. NO WE ARE NOT IN A RELEGATION BATTLE....come back to me April 1 and let's have that discussion.
It simply amazes me that there are fans waiting in the wings to pounce on anything less than a win. However, when we do win this board is quiet.

Everybody has an opinion and shaken you certainly have that available to you.

Again, you should be eternally thankful we have Flickers and not dumb and dumber.

I see no reason for a win and draw over the next two away games. I will be there..what say you?

I've never once said i'm not happy to see Flitcroft at the helm, in fact, i have complete faith he's the man to lead us forward.

No-one's ready to pounce when we lose, but we comment on things that caused the loss/draw......it has nothing to do with being negative towards the team.

Did you think Tutte did well last night, or has had any stand out games for thus far?.....did you like the long ball stuff we revert to when Platt starts?
I only quoted what Flitcroft said when he signed him......am i wrong to pull our manager up when he contradicts himself?
We play and look much much better when we keep it on the floor and pass the ball about. Ok, the pitch may not be conducive for that style of play, but let's remember that that's exactly why he's signed the players he has......and even you admitted, thus far they've played pretty well....so let's keep it that way.

Easy,
you enjoy your Southcoast adventure, i hope they bring us the 4pts you suggest.....and i won't suggest we're still in a relegation battle if they don't.lol

Fair enough. Fans can always disagree, but we are still fans. Tutte is not our biggest problem but he certainly is not at 100%.

I think we will all be happy when this season is over and the Boss can shape and plan for next year.

You referring to me?

Wow, some people really need to wise up, stop looking through those rose tinted specs and grasp a bit of reality.....despite our recent revival and good form, we ARE still in a relegation fight. Look at the league table, it's there to see. Below i've stated why:

Ex Pat,
"Leave losing to other teams around us".....

So apart from Exeter, who keep losing then?
Torquay just beat Rochdale, but admittedly did struggle before that.
Wycombe have won 3 and drawn 3 of their last 7.
Northampton have won 3 and drawn 2 of their last 5.
Bristol Rovers have won 3 and draw 3 of their last 7.
Accrington just stuffed Chesterfield
Pompy have won 2 and drawn 4 of their last 7.

As you can see, other teams are doing just aswell as us (Torquay and Exeter apart), that's why we're not clear yet.

Pompy have won 2 and drawn 4 of their last 7.

As you can see, other teams are doing just aswell as us (Torquay and Exeter apart), that's why we're not clear yet.
If the cap fits then wear it,however, you might want to compare our recent form in your listed stats and yes we are in a relegation fight on the other hand if you take a closer look at the league table another good month and we could be knocking on the door of the play offs, come on maintain a positive outlook that is what true fans do.It is irrelevant what other teams are doing it is what the Shakers do that matters to us fans over the next two months.Come on the Shakers.

Wow, some people really need to wise up, stop looking through those rose tinted specs and grasp a bit of reality.....despite our recent revival and good form, we ARE still in a relegation fight. Look at the league table, it's there to see. Below i've stated why: Ex Pat, "Leave losing to other teams around us"..... Accrington just stuffed Chesterfield Pompy have won 2 and drawn 4 of their last 7. I'll vote them down when they're negative comments after a draw with a promotion chasing side
I was being positive actually Farmboy,i said we will survive because there are two worst teams in this league namely Torquay United & Exeter City,so chin up and i voted up your comment so stop targeting me and my comments.
