  • "Great following from the shakers faithful,it's a pity they witnessed such a poor game with so many fouls going unpunished by a referee who had a stinker of a game.

Maybe it was a game too far for some of our players and this performance was so indifferent to the sublime effort they displayed on Friday.

David will have learnt a lot about some of his squad players in this type of game, there was no lack of effort but we were up against a team who played anti-football who were unbeaten in 14 games grinding out results.

Nards sending off was stupid and idiotic, the gaffer knows that he still doesn't have all of the tools in his squad to beat the likes of York.

So in the summer the board will need to sit down with him and try to build a team worthy of promotion.

I left the ground feeling a little frustrated because I don't think the players did themselves justice to themselves and most importantly the fans.

Yes York like to let the grass grow long and don't water their pitch much which does stifle teams who want to play football on the floor but it's the same for both teams."
