THIEVES who raided a factory in Cumbernauld escaped with more than
#15,000 worth of colour televisions meant for export to Portugal. The
black Crown-make 14-inch remote control sets will not pick up sound
transmissions in the UK and would need to be re-adjusted by TV
engineers. The writing on their boxes, and instructions, are in
Portuguese. Detectives have appealed for information on the raid, from
the Westfield Industrial Estate.
