WOULD-be punters are under starter's orders following an invite to a “charity race night” to raise cash for reconstructive surgery in deprived communities across the globe.
The event organised by Bolton Lever Rotary Club for Saturday, March 7 takes place at Dunscar Conservative Club in Hardmans Lane, Bromley Cross, with the first televised horse race starting at 7.45pm.
Attendees will be treated to a pasty supper, raffle and bingo. The event is to raise money for the British Foundation for International Reconstructive Surgery and Training.

Meanwhile, the Rotary Club has welcomed new member Graham Stamford to its ranks at a meeting at the Old Links Golf Club.
