A foodbank in the borough is looking for volunteers to help them hand out shopping lists.

Farnworth and Kearlsey Foodbank are looking for volunteers who can donate  two hours of their time to hand out their shopping lists at two local ASDA stores.

They are looking for volunteers to hand out lists so food supplies can be stocked up for the vulnerable and help local people in crisis.

The volunteers are needed from May 6 to 8 at ASDA Farnworth and ASDA Burden Park.

There are also a number of items which are currently needed for donation.

These include long-life fruit juice, pasta and curry sauce, tinned fruit, jam, coffee, toothbrushes and toothpaste, shower gel and deodrant.
