A man from London has pleaded guilty to arson in Bolton.
Ardalan Ali carried out the offence at a property on Hulton Lane in February this year.
The 44-year-old had been due to go on trial at Bolton Crown Court accused of committing arson by damaging property by fire and intending to endanger the life of another.
However the guilty plea to the lesser offence of arson was accepted by prosecutors.
Ali, from Charcot Road, London, will return to court in December to be sentenced.
