This comes after Limes Service Station in Walkden dropped their prices significantly in July, when petrol prices were reaching record highs of around 191p for petrol and 199p for diesel.

Limes dropped their prices to 169.9p for petrol and 185.9p for diesel at the time, which led to drivers queuing up Manchester Road for fuel and the owners of the garage being left ‘trying to keep up with demand’.
