Officers said they attended several convenience stores in Farnworth and Kearsley yesterday afternoon (Tuesday March 21).

The Farnworth Neighbourhood Team and the Bolton Trading Standards Team seized what are believed to be illegal e-cigarettes, counterfeit tobacco, sparklers, and other items.

A spokesperson for Bolton South said: “Farnworth Neighbourhood Team with Bolton Trading Standards Team have attended several convenience stores in the Farnworth and Kearsley areas this afternoon.

“ E-cigarettes, counterfeit tobacco, sparklers and other items were located and have been seized.”

The Bolton News:

It comes as police have been out in force in Bolton and the rest of Greater Manchester this week as part of a Week of Action.

Officers have been conducting operations targeting different issues every day in local areas.

This includes speeding, executing warrants for arrests, tackling issues with trading standards, burglaries, and more.
