Farnworth Little Theatre rounds off its successful season with Talking Heads by Alan Bennett.

Four local actors take on monologues from the original 1988 TV production, staged in the round.

Bed Among the Lentils will be performed by Janet Leather, who will play Susan, a vicar's wife who tries to find meaning in life while dealing with her insensitive husband.

Carole Taylor will play Muriel in Soldiering On, a strong woman who stoically faces life's challenges.

Andrew Gradwell will be playing Graham in A Chip in the Sugar, dealing with his complicated relationship with his mother.

Finally, Caroline Weekes will play Irene in A Lady of Letters, a single woman who finds the power of the pen to be mightier than the sword.

This production is directed by Andrew Close, who is celebrating his 50th anniversary with FLT.

Andrew said: "I am thrilled to direct this production of 'Talking Heads' and bring these iconic characters to life once again. It is a great honor to celebrate my 50th anniversary with FLT in this way."

The production at Farnworth Little Theatre on Cross Street, BL4 7AJ,will run from Saturday, May 6 - Saturday, May 13, with a matinee at 2pm on May 13.
