A Bolton eatery has been handed a new food hygiene rating after its latest inspection.

Bolton Community Kitchen, based at Bolton Rugby Union Football Club, on Avenue Street was given a score of four out of five stars after an assessment on June 14, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

The inspection report states the hygienic food handling is very good, whilst the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and the management of food safety are both generally satisfactory.

It means that of Bolton's 429 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 240 (56 per cent) have five star scores and just two have zero ratings.
