“At the event people can expect various things going on, we are hosting a BBQ and some children’s games, tombola, and they can have a look around the site, and they can look at all the vegetables that all the people have put in for the show, people have grown various things to put in for the show to try to win the best category.

“We enjoy putting it on so the committee run the event for the people on the plot and we open it up to the public and we are all excited about what can be there and what people bring to show, and we enjoy putting it together, it’s a community led event and it’s all good fun.

“We are hoping for good weather, this summer has been abysmal but hopefully this coming week in September can be a bit better.

“People can just turn up, it is free event, everyone is welcome and there is parking on site and people can just turn up from 1pm.”

The event will take place at Settle Street Allotments, Settle Street, Great Lever, BL3 3EB.
