An Asda checkout worker has been nominated for an award after rushing to help a shopper browsing the store with a magnifying glass.
Aziza Atcha has been working at Bolton Asda for 24 years.
Recently, she spotted an ‘older’ customer struggling to find items and shopping using a magnifying glass.
She stepped in, asked what was on his list, and completed his shopping for him.
She said: “The gentleman couldn't see very well, bless him, and he was struggling with a trolley too, so I went round and got his groceries for him and then put it through a checkout before ordering him a taxi.
“He was really nice and friendly and ever so grateful. I always help out customers when I can – that's what we are here for.”
