Police arrested a man on suspicion of driving without a licence, insurance, being in possession of drugs and concealing a criminal.

Cash and drugs were recovered from the car parked at the petrol station on the A666 after being stopped by police on Friday.

The driver was also found to be driving without insurance or a driving licence, according to police.

A 27-year-old man was arrested and the car was seized.

A spokesman for police said: "Cash and drugs recovered following an arrest in #Bolton. Yesterday (03/11/23), officers from the Bolton North Neighbourhood Team stopped a vehicle at a petrol station on the A666.

"The driver was found to have an expired driving licence and no insurance. Following a search of the vehicle, a large amount of cash was recovered and evidence of drug supply.

"A 27-year-old man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of driving otherwise in accordance with a licence, driving with no insurance, being concerned in the supply of drugs and concealing a criminal.

"The vehicle he was driving was seized.

"Following further enquiries, the man was also arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cannabis and cocaine. He has been bailed whilst we carry out further enquiries."
