New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to six of Bolton’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Examining food handling, the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and the management of food safety, inspectors have rated two eateries a five out of five hygiene rating and four eateries a three out of five.

The inspection report states both the hygienic food handling, and the management of food safety are very good whilst the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building is good.

The inspection report states both the hygienic food handling, and the management of food safety are very good whilst the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building is good.

Four eateries have also been awarded new food hygiene ratings of three out of five, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

The inspection report states the eatery is generally satisfactory in all areas.

Cafe W, a restaurant, cafe, or canteen at 34-36 Deansgate, Bolton was given the score of three after assessment on November 6, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

The inspection report states the hygienic food handling is good, whilst the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and the management of food safety are generally satisfactory.

St Catherines Care Home (Tameng Care Ltd), a restaurant, cafe or canteen at St Catherines Nursing Home, Queen Street, Horwich, Bolton was given the score of three after assessment on October 31.

The inspection report states both the hygienic food handling, and the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building are generally satisfactory whilst the management of food safety is good.

It means that of Bolton's 440 restaurants, cafes, and canteens with ratings, 246 (56 per cent) have ratings of five and just two have zero ratings.
