Today we look back on the final quarter of 2023.

From new businesses opening to celebrity visits, it was a busy end to the year.

Kieran Sadlier and Declan John were those who said goodbye to the Toughsheet Community Stadium this month.

Concerns were raised that the squad was left on the trim side as a result.

Fans said the starting eleven had been left in a weaker position than the previous year.

But with the club ending the year in the play off spots perhaps the decisions made over the course of the transfer window have been vindicated.

The same month there was more bad business news for the town.

Morrisons on Bury Road, Breightmet, had said that its performance was not sustainable.
