Delays are expected on a major train route in the north-west after an object was caught on the overhead wires.
Northern Rail has reported the incident which has led to some lines behind Oxford Road in Manchester and Liverpool Lime Street.
A spokesperson for the company said: "Due to an object being caught on the overhead electric wires between Manchester Oxford Road and Liverpool Lime Street some lines are blocked.
"Network Rail are aware of the incident and are dispatching their teams to site."

The company has also revealed how people can get around the issue.
