A driver has been arrested in Breightmet on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class B and on suspicion of drug driving.
This comes after Greater Manchester Police attended a PACT meeting at Red Lane Primary School yesterday evening, February 8, whereby members of the community highlighted the issue of drug dealing in the area.
Within five minutes of leaving the meeting, police stopped a car which was in front of them ‘smelling strongly of cannabis’.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police Bolton North said: “The Bolton North Neighbourhood attended Red Lane Primary School for a PACT meeting with members of the community.

“During which, one of the issues highlighted was drug dealing in the area.
“It only took five minutes, following the conclusion of the meeting, for officers to get behind a vehicle smelling strongly of cannabis.
“Following a stop of the vehicle, the occupant has now been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class B and on suspicion of drug driving and has been taken to custody for questioning.”
