Bolton: Family devastated after friendly giant died suddenly

Haydn Brown, who lived in Tonge Moor, was known to many in the area for owning Archangel Security Services and Skin City Tattoo Studio.

The "loveable" character died suddenly on Tuesday, April 9, which his good friend Jamie Louise Holmes-Brown says came as a “shock”.

Jamie says that Haydn was the type of person who would stop what he was doing for anyone.

She said: “He would help anyone who needed it.

“He was an amazing person, and he has done so much for me.

“In all the time I knew him, he was a big friendly giant.

Jamie says that Hayden had a “massive personality and a massive heart”.

He was known for his humour and his happy go lucky outlook, and when he went to a party, Hayden was always “the life of any he went to”.

Jamie said: “It came as a shock.

“We were friends for a good few years, and just before Covid I became quite close with him and his family.”

Haydn leaves behind his four children, two of which he had with his partner of 13 years Kylie Cox, who has been left devastated.

Jamie said: “He was always there for his kids.

“Kylie has a lot of friends around her to support her.

“She is trying to stay strong for the kids, and she is doing the best she can.”

In his spare time Jamie enjoyed spending time with his family and close friends, and he was a huge Marvel fan.

Haydn also used to be a firefighter for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service.

Jamie has since set up a GoFundMe crowdfunding page (www.gofundme.com/f/haydn-brown) to help the family raise as much money as possible for Haydn’s funeral.

She said: “It would mean a lot to us to raise this money.

“He was always there for everybody, and all they want to do is to give him the best farewell we can, to match who he was.

“Donations have poured in, and it just shows how loved much he was loved by everybody he met.”
