Police acting on information from the community raided a house to uncover a cannabis farm.
The raid took place at a house in Farnworth yesterday afternoon.
Police have seized the cannabis plants from a home in Farnworth.
A spokesman for GMP said: "Following information received from members of the public, a warrant was executed by the Farnworth neighbourhood team on Charles Street in Farnworth.
"A male has been arrested and will be subsequently interviewed for the related offences.
"A number of cannabis plants were seized as part of the warrant and will form part of the continuing investigation.
"A big thank you to the members of the public who submitted intelligence to the Police using the anonymous platform, crime stoppers.

In April, officers raided the home on Thicketfold Road, Tonge Moor.
They say that they discovered 72 plants as part of the farm, which they then seized ahead of being destroyed, and that they were going to investigate to find the culprits.
