Bolton's motorists will have two road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing a wait of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closures already in place are expected to carry on this week.

Each evening from midnight to 11.59pm up to July 31, there will be slight delays of up to 10 minutes on the M61 southbound between junction five and six.

This is due to a hard shoulder closure for drainage works.

And one more closure will begin over the next two weeks.

From 9pm on Wednesday, June 12 to 5am on Thursday, June 13, there will be moderate delays between 10 and 30 minutes on the M60 anti-clockwise between junction 16 and 17.

This is due to a carriageway closure for electrical works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
