Lodge Security named as Spinning Gate's new security provider in Leigh

With a current occupancy rate of 92 percent and 39 retail units, Spinning Gate shopping centre has appointed Lodge Security as its new security provider.

Privately owned by Atmore Group, Leigh's town centre shopping centre provides a selection of national stores and independent shops, and with millions of visits each year, is reported to be outperforming other shopping centres of a similar size.

Based in Manchester, Lodge Security is a family owned provider of security solutions, with more than 100 years in loss prevention and security specialisms. 

Operating in every major city within the UK, as well as in Ireland and Europe, the Leigh team will provide Spinning Gate with a "comprehensive set of specialist security services" and 9,000 hours of annual security work.

This security network will benefit shoppers and businesses in Spinning Gate, with Leigh town centre suffering from a number of shoplifting reports in recent months. 

The centre's security team have transferred to Lodge Security and will be highly visible with an identifiable uniform.

There will also be training and development programmes including safety and security operational training, customer service and conflict management training, along with law and legislation training.
