RAIL passengers are warned to check their travel details over the festive period.
Northern Rail services will start to wind down across the network from 7pm on Christmas Eve, with very few trains running after 9pm.
Services will not run at all on Christmas Day or Boxing Day and a normal service will resume on Thursday 27 December, except for a few very early morning services.
New Year's Eve will again see services winding down from 7pm, and services will start a little later on New Year’s Day.
Customers are advised to consult northernrail.org or nationalrail.co.uk for specific times and services.
