A TOP performing primary school was congratulated for its hard work by schools minister David Laws Lowton Junior and Infant School was one of 250 schools in the country to receive a congratulatory message for progress after achieving top results in tests for 11-year-olds.
The school, on Newton Road, was applauded for the improvements pupils made between ages of seven and 11.
Mr Laws said: “All these excellent primary schools have given their children the best possible start in life and this also means that they are ready to thrive at secondary school.”
