THE sky is no longer the limit for pupils from Lowton Church of England High School.
More than 100 year eight and nine students from Lowton and other high schools across the borough worked together with science charity The Ogden Trust to learn all about how rockets work.
Students from Lowton, The Deanery, St Mary's, Shevington and Golborne were treated to a presentation on the history and development of the rocket and given the opportunity to ask questions of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) ambassadors.
Head teacher John Shanahan said: “This is an interesting and engaging way to introduce our young people to more of the wonders of science and help them to appreciate some of the practical applications behind what they learn in the classroom.
“It was also great fun as well; in fact we're pretty sure everyone who took part had a real blast.”
