A HERITAGE day is back and this year it is themed to mark the centenary of the First World War.
The day will commemorate those from the area who served in the Great War and celebrate Leigh’s Edwardian history.
Entertainment on the day will include a First World War history fair, Fred Longworth High School’s brass band, tours of the town hall and church, drill displays by cadets, crafts for children and a vintage car rally.
The event is on Saturday, September 13, from 10.30am until 3pm in Civic Square, Leigh.
