FIREFIGHTERS are treating a fire at an empty terraced house as suspicious after being called to a bedroom blaze.
Crews Leigh, Atherton and Hindley fire stations were called to the property on Firs Lane, Leigh, at around 11.45pm on Saturday.
There was also a small fire downstairs.
The blaze is being treated as suspicious and Greater Manchester Police (GMP) have been informed.
Fire crews wearing breathing apparatus entered the house to tackle the fire and used a large fan to clear out all the smoke, they were at the scene for around an hour.
