A FIRST class event for model railway enthusiasts will be held in Leigh this weekend.
The Leigh Model Railway Society will be holding its annual exhibition at St Joseph’s Hall on Chapel Street between 10am and 5pm on Saturday and Sunday.
The society is in its 40th year and will be showcasing different working layouts, including a model of Tyldesley by railway historian and transport book publisher Dennis Sweeney, which will allow visitors to compare the town’s layout before the guided busway.
Tickets cost £5 for adults and children can enter for free if accompanied by an adult.
Refreshments will be available.
