AN Atherton man has been fined after admitting assaulting a special constable.
David Walter Berkley, 42, of Lovers Lane, was fined £240 at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates' Court on Wednesday after pleading guilt to assaulting the constable in Leigh on November 20.
The 42-year-old was also ordered to pay compensation amounting to £50, a victim surcharge of £30 and prosecution costs of £85.
