A history buff with a thirst for knowledge is excited for the next chapter after achieving top marks in her A-levels.
Georgia Platt, 18, studied English literature, history, and performing arts and was relieved to get to results day at The Sixth Form Bolton.
Georgia achieved an A* in English literature, a B in history, and a Distinction* in performing arts.
She hopes to become a history teacher or go into research at Lancaster University.
Georgia said: “It’s very intense because it’s such a big thing that everybody builds up to, and now it comes down to a piece of paper.
“I knew I did the best I could in the exams.”
Georgia’s main drive is her fascination about people and how society has changed throughout history.
She said: “I love learning about people and looking at how life has changed through the years.
“I like knowing a lot of stuff.”
She says she is sad to leave because of all the great friends she has made, but she is equally as excited to start the next chapter.
Georgia has previously run as the student council president and wants to continue seeking out as many opportunities as she can at university.
She added: “I’ve made so many amazing friends.
“I don’t know how I feel.
“I’m excited but it feels weird.
“Thinking about the last two years and everything we have gone through, and it’s all come down to getting this piece of paper.
“I am excited to move on and see what the rest of life has to offer.”
